When it comes to clean eating, one of the major excuses I hear is that it is just too hard or takes up too much time. This just simply does not have to be true.

One of the reasons I love this recipe is that it is easy and is done so quickly that it can be on your table in about 20 minutes. And it only uses one pan! I personally serve this over brown rice or cauliflower rice, but it can also serve as a complete meal!
I make a large batch of this, so I have leftovers for snacks and dinners later in the week, but this recipe can also be halved if making for a single dinner.
Makes 6-8 Servings
Ingredients –
2 pounds ground turkey
1 cup onions diced
2 9oz packages shredded cabbage (or a small cabbage shredded)
1 10oz package spiralized sweet potato
4 tablespoons Coconut Aminos
1.5 tablespoon Red Boat Fish Sauce
1 tablespoon ginger (fresh or paste)
1 tablespoon garlic (fresh or paste)
1 tablespoon Trader Joe’s Seasoning Salt
2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
Pepper to taste
Recipe –
Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan on the stove. Once pan is hot, add in your ground turkey and let cook till almost completely browned. Once turkey is almost done, add in onions, cabbage, and spiralized sweet potato. Mix well and let cook until cabbage and sweet potato begin to soften and turkey completely browns.
While the other ingredients are cooking, mix together your sauce. In a small bowl, mix coconut aminos, fish sauce, ginger, and garlic. Once the cabbage and sweet potato start to soften, mix in your sauce mixture. Make sure to stir thoroughly so everything is coated with the sauce.
The last step is to mix in the dry seasonings to taste. I usually also end up adding in some additional ginger, just because I LOVE ginger, so feel free to make it your own! Then it is ready to serve.
If you are cooking for one like I usually am, leftovers freeze really well, and this is a great item to pull out on those days you just don’t feel like cooking. To reheat just put in a small skillet and heat till warm or microwave for about 3 minutes. You can also substitute any spiralized veggie in place of the sweet potato, it is really good with spiralized zucchini or carrots as well!
